Soulwork was established by Peter J. Nagle. Raised in the Christian tradition, and now studying the Buddhist tradition, Peter has spent his life exploring his faith and spirituality, worshiping with a progressive Benedictine community. Peter also has a history of community service and involvement. Peter’s “community” includes providing spiritual direction in prisons, hospitals, and to Richard Rohr’s Living School students, as well as having a private practice. He has also been active in the ministry for peace in Israel/Palestine.
“The Christian tradition calls for us to be disciples, humble followers who emulate Christ’s willingness to serve others. The Buddhist tradition calls for us to love all sentient beings, and serve them. I believe that one lives in humility and love, by serving others in humility and love.”
The term “Spiritual Direction” really means your Spiritual Direction, your Spiritual path. Through our conversations together we seek greater clarity on your path. The answers already lie within you. Through our conversations we seek to bring them to the surface.
Peter ran a financial advisory firm for 38 years, and holds a Master’s degree in Religion from Yale Divinity School. He also graduated from Richard Rohr’s Living School of contemplation. Peter has been certified as a Spiritual Director and received his training with Stillpoint, at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. He welcomes candidates for Spiritual Direction from all faith traditions.
